Storm Dennis – Public Notice from Dublin Port Company

Storm Dennis – Public Notice from Dublin Port Company Temporary closures in place for Great South Wall & North Bull Wall Bridge.

 

Storm Dennis will produce very strong winds over Ireland on Saturday 15th February and Sunday 16th February 2020. Met Eireann have issued a yellow warning for wind, and rain.

Additionally the OPW have issued a storm surge warning for coastal areas.

Dublin Port Company will temporarily close public access to the Great South Wall and the North Bull Wall Bridge on Saturday and Sunday from the following times:

**Great South Wall**

  • Saturday 15th February 2020 from 1400hrs – 1800hrs
  • Sunday 16th February 2020 from 0400hrs – 0600hrs
  • Sunday 16th February 2020 from 1600hrs – 1900hrs

**North Bull Wall Bridge**

  • Saturday 15th February 2020 from 1500hrs – 1730hrs
  • Sunday 16th February 2020 from 1630hrs – 1830hrs

 

The Great South Wall closure is due to tide height and dangerous winds on the exposed wall

surface. The Bull Bridge closure is due to tide height.

Delays to some shipping activity is possible including delays at the port’s LOLO container

terminals, i.e. where containers are loaded and unloaded by crane.
