Where can I find more tourist information for Dublin Port?

There has never been a better time to travel to Dublin by sea. Dublin Port is located around two miles from the city centre. Faster, more comfortable ships equipped with state of the art facilities are ferrying more and more passengers to and from Dublin Port. Visit our tourist information section here

What type of transportation services are available to and from the terminal?

Dublin Port is very centrally located, only minutes from Dublin city centre. Buses and taxis provide a regular service from the port to the city and beyond. Visit our “Getting Around” section here to review all of the options available to you.

Where can I park my vehicle?

General Car Parking is available at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2:

  • Short Term parking is on a pay & display basis at €2.00 per hour and a minimum charge of €1.00.
  • Long Term parking is also available on a pay & display basis. Rates are €9.00 per day or part thereof and €50.00 per week (seven days).

Pay and display parking machines accept both coin and card payment options.

The machines do not accept notes but there is a change machine located inside the Terminal 1 building.

What are the conditions for the legal transport of dogs through Dublin Port?

Dublin Port Harbour Police / Port Security work closely with our colleagues in Revenue / Customs and Animal Welfare organisations to help combat the illegal movement of animals.

There are 5 conditions which permit the legal transport of dogs:

1. A Valid Pet Passport
2. Up to date Vaccinations
3. Microchipped
4. The dog is 15wks or over
5. A maximum of 5 dogs allowed

Dublin Port estate is always open, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Dublin Port Company’s head office at Port Centre Alexandra Road operates office hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
