Notice: Towage Services at Dublin Port

Notice of proposal to limit the number of providers of towage services for Dublin Port pursuant to article 6 of regulation (eu) 2017/352

Dublin Port Company, as the managing body of Dublin Port, hereby gives notice that it proposes to limit the number of providers of towage services for Dublin Port pursuant to Article 6 of Regulation (EU) 2017/352 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 February 2017 establishing a framework for the provision of port services and common rules on the financial transparency of ports (the “Port Services Regulation”). Dublin Port Company relies on the grounds set out in Article 6(1)(a), Article 6(1)(c) and Article 6(1)(d) of the Port Services Regulation, each of which is relied upon independently and, in the alternative, cumulatively, as more particularly set out in the proposal referred to below (the “Proposal”). This notice is published on Dublin Port Company’s website, in the Official Journal of the European Union and in The Irish Times newspaper.

Interested parties are invited to submit written comments on the Proposal by no later than 5pm on 22 January 2027, being a period of not less than three months from 28 September 2026, the date on which this notice is first published on Dublin Port Company’s website, in the Official Journal of the European Union and in The Irish Times newspaper.

No decision to limit the number of providers of towage services for Dublin Port has yet been made. Dublin Port Company will consider all comments received within the above period before making any such decision.
