East Wall Road Partial Path Closure – Dublin Port Liffey-Tolka Project

East Wall Road Partial Path Closure – Dublin Port Liffey-Tolka Project

27 April 2026

As part of the works for the Dublin Port Liffey‑Tolka Project, the pedestrian and cycling paths on the port-side of East Wall Road, between North Wall Quay and Sheriff Street Upper, will close from today 27 April 2026 until March 2027.

During this time, pedestrians and cyclists should use the alternative routes shown on the map below.

Due to the footpath closure, the existing Bus Éireann stop (123501) and TFI/Dublin Bus stop (7399) will be temporarily unavailable. Both stops will be relocated north on East Wall Road, between Sheriff Street Upper and Alexandra Road, beside the Swords Express stop – see map above. Affected routes are 142, 100X, 101X, 109A, 191, 193, 194, 702, 783 and 784.

The 980A bus service will remove the East Wall Road stop from its sequence with the next stop being the 7611 stop on North Wall Quay, opposite New Wapping Street.

Our thanks to Dublin City Council, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, the National Transport Authority and the local community for their support with this project.

The Dublin Port Liffey‑Tolka Project will create a safe and accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists through new public realm along the East Wall Road corridor and is due for completion in 2027.
