Alexandra Road Closure Notice – 19th July 2025

Alexandra Road will be closed to all Port-related traffic from Saturday 19 July 2025 until Autumn 2026 – Access for all Port traffic will be via Promenade Road.
We’re embarking on essential maintenance of Alexandra Road—an essential part of Dublin Port’s internal network. This project will:
- Improve road and rail infrastructure
- Introduce a new pedestrian & cycle track
- Install vital utility services to support greener energy solutions
To facilitate these critical road and rail maintenance works, please be advised that Alexandra Road will be closed to all Port-related traffic—including vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists—between East Wall Road and No. 1 Branch Road South, effective from 19 July 2025. During this period, all access to and from Dublin Port will be via Promenade Road, see map below.
