Mollie worked towards a future on the front line.

For Mollie, the Dublin Port Scholarship helped ease some of the financial pressure that came with taking the next step in her education. At just 20 years old and working part-time, the support helped cover costs including course fees, travel and books as she studied Pre-Paramedic Fire and Ambulance at Blackrock Further Education Institute. More than that, it gave her the confidence and motivation to focus on where the course could take her.

That course became the starting point for a career in emergency care. Mollie went on to qualify as an Emergency Medical Technician and spent almost four years working with Guinness Fire and Rescue Service. Today, she is continuing her journey with the National Ambulance Service as she works towards becoming a fully qualified paramedic, with the goal of completing her Level 8 degree in Paramedicine in 2028. She also gives back to her local community as part of a Community First Responder group in the Dublin Bay North area.
