Ellie found her future in caring for others.

For Ellie, receiving the Dublin Port Scholarship in 2023 came at an important moment, just as she was beginning her General Nursing degree at UCD. Growing up in Ringsend and starting university brought new opportunities and challenges, including the financial pressures that can come with higher education. The Scholarship helped ease some of that burden, giving Ellie more space to focus on her studies and make the most of university life.

As the first person in her family to go to college, Ellie is now working towards a career in nursing while remaining connected to the community she grew up in.
