Scholarship Criteria

The DPC Scholarship Programme commenced in 2001. The aim of the programme is to contribute to the community by providing opportunities for individuals living in the Port area of Dublin to fulfil their potential through education.

Candidates for Scholarship must be:

  • Individuals living in the Port area of Dublin for a minimum of 5 years
  • Individuals who would experience significant financial difficulty in undertaking a third-level course of study
  • Candidates for the scholarships will include school leavers, mature students and individuals wishing to pursue third-level foundation courses as well as repeat Leaving Certificate students

Please note:

Scholarships are no longer available if you are studying for a PLC, Diploma or Postgraduate.

Applicants are invited to submit the application form below which will then assessed by an independent panel. The panel looks for an applicant’s motivation and ability to fulfil his / her potential through education. Applicants will be invited into Port Centre to complete an interview.
