Apart from being home to visiting passenger ferries and cruise liners, Dublin Port also has a number of public amenities which can be enjoyed by the general public.

The famous Bull Island, with its 5.63km of beach, two golf courses and world famous bird sanctuary was created by the building of the Port's two walls & the Great South Wall and the North Bull Wall.
Dublin Port also takes care of the local environment, and has several contingency plans in place, such as an Oil Pollution Response Plan and a Major Marine Incident Emergency Plan.
