2010 sees 15 years of continuous association between Stena Line and Dublin Port Company. In November 1995 the Company introduced the Stena Traveller,
a freight only vessel to the Dublin Port - Holyhead route and has continually upgraded the service to the full Tourism and Freight offering it now operates.
The Superferry Stena Adventurer, at 211 metres, the longest ferry to ply this route, was introduced in Summer 2003 offering significantly more capacity to the route than its predecessor, the Stean Forwarder, with 3,400 metres of lanepace.

More capacity isn't the only freight friendly feature of the Adventurer. Drive through,Two-tier loading via bow and stern ramps means rapid embarkation and discharge. The internal design of the ship is also 'freight-friendly'. Loading is to 3 main decks with open lanes of sufficient width to ensure easy exit and entry to cabs, even on peak sailings.
The Stena Adventurer operates a twice daily service with a crossing time of 3 hours and 15 minutes from Terminal 2 Dublin Ferryport. On board the Stena Adventurer boasts 150 cabins, a dedicated drivers lounge and a superior range of onboard facilities including shops, lounges, restaurants, bars and conference rooms.
In November, Stena Line introduced the newly refurbished Stena Nordica with 1950 lane metres to supplement the Adventurer and cope with the ongoing growth. The Nordica, as with the Adventurer, caters for both tourist and freight markets with a 2 round trip daily schedule giving the Company an unrivalled all year round 8 trip daily from Dublin Port and Holyhead.
Dedicated reservations for both ships are available via one number (01) 2047722 for both local and international requirements. Don't forget the Stena Line landbridge links to continental Europe from Harwich and Killingholme to the Hook of Holland and Rotterdam Europort. You can also book via the dedicated Stena Line Freight website at www.stenalinefreight.com and find up-to-the-minute timetables and information on all Stena Routes.
