"Irish Sea Shipping Line of the Year", Seatruck Ferries is the only Irish Sea Ferry Company dedicated solely to the carriage of freight. The Seatruck Dublin-Liverpool service provides an independent alternative for haulage operators wanting an economical and reliable service across the Irish Sea.
By focusing on the needs of the freight industry, Seatruck Ferrries provide a unique solution that combines efficiency and reliability with a friendly personal touch.
Seatruck firmly believes that the best value to customers can be offered on freight only services. It is believed that the method of operation permits more customers to switch from high cost driver accompanied shipments to lower cost unaccompanied movements, saving on shipping charges, reducing road miles and allowing more efficient use of drivers.
Seatruck operate the youngest fleet on the Irish Sea. The Dublin-Liverpool service is operated by the Clipper Pace and Clipper Pennant. With a capacity of 120 unaccompanied units per vessel, the annual capacity is now 135,000 units per annum. With a service speed of 22 knots, the new vessels bring with them new levels of speed and reliability that will allow unaccompanied freight to compete directly with ro-pax vessels at a slightly lower cost to the transport operator.
The Seatruck Ferries Service operates from RoRo berth 4 which is Alexandra Road, easily accessible directly off East Wall Road and close to the Dublin Port Tunnel.
Seatruck offer prime time evening departures from both Dublin and Liverpool seven days a week. Morning departures from both ports are operated Tuesday - Saturday. Seatruck Ferries can carry a wide range of goods including hazardous cargo, abnormal loads and trade vehicles which are given a high priority.
Seatruck also operates from Warrenpoint in Northern Ireland to Heysham, Lancashire.
Seatruck Ferries is part of the Bahamas-based Clipper Group Ltd., a major shipping consortium owning, operating and managing a fleet of some 250 vessels, mainly within bulk transportation, MPP/Project transportation and product/chemical carriage. Clipper has global offices servicing its clients worldwide.
