Lift on/Lift off_- Marine Terminals Ltd

Marine Terminals (MTL) is Irelands largest and most modern container terminal both in size and craneage. The owners of MTL, The Mersey Docks & Harbour Co, now Peel Ports Group have recently completed a €25million refit of the operation.

The terminal is equipped with 3 ship to shore gantry cranes (Liebherr) and can handle up to and including Panamax size vessels. All secondary handling is carried out by 4 rail mounted gantries (RMG's) complemented by various ground handling equipment. The quayside is 700 metres long and has guaranteed 10.2mtr draft alongside at all stages of the tide. There are also 270 reefer points.

Customers of the Terminal include, Coastal Container Line, BG Freightline, Samskip and CMA-CGM. It also handles the widest variation of ports shipped to and from, to include Liverpool, Cardiff, Southampton, Le Havre, Zeebrugge, Antwerp and Rotterdam (all terminals)
