Vessel Traffic Management
Dublin Port Company ensures the safe movement of vessels in the Port
through the provision of a modern Vessel Traffic Management Service. All
vessel movements in the Port are controlled by the Company's Port Radio
Operation utilising modern VTS radar and Vessel Management
Information systems. In essence Dublin Port Radio is very similar to the
control tower at an airport. Dublin Port Radio co-ordinates the timing
of each vessel's entry to and exit from the Port.
