Dublin Port wins Good Neighbour Award for the Second Year in-a-row

Dublin Port Company has always recognised the importance of the local community.  Even before the emergence of what has more recently become known as Corporate and Social Responsibility Dublin Port Company supported a range of social, environmental, sporting and educational initiatives which benefit the community that has such close links with the port.

For the second year in-a-row Dublin Port Company has been awarded the Chamber's Ireland Good neighbour Award for their strong relationship and their strong contribution to the local communities. This is the fourth year of the awards and the number of entrants for these Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) awards is increasing each year.

In 2007 the Chamber's Ireland award recognisied the support given by Dublin Port Company to the Ringsend and District Response to Drugs Programme. Th eprogramme focuses on addict recovery as well as helping families to understand and deal with the impact of drugs on family life. Dublin Port Company has been involved with the programme for ten years sponsoring the parent's educational group.

In November 2006 The  Chambers of Commerce Ireland officially recognized Dublin Port Company with its prestigious Good Neighbour Award for the work carried out by the Company in Banda Aceh.
