Masterplan Issues Paper

Dublin Port Company published an Issues Paper in March 2011 to facilitate the consultation process for the preparation of a Masterplan for Dublin Port for the period 2011 – 2040. The issues paper described the current operations of Dublin Port and details some strategic issues that will face the Port over the period covered by the Masterplan. The Issues Paper examined future trends in key areas of trade and transport and also identified some options for future development at the Port.

The Issues Paper was based on analysis carried out by Dublin Port Company and by experts examining economic, trade, environmental, engineering and planning issues. The main conclusions of the experts’ reports were summarised in the Issues Paper. Full copies of their assessments are available here.

A number of key questions on the wide range of issues were included in the paper to help prompt and facilitate the consultation process that formed an integral part in the development of the final Masterplan.
